I miss some illustration/paint in the forums, so here we go:

Once again I was classifying my books and I found the Perrault's Sleeping Beauty illustrated by John Collier*. I had forgotten how much I loved this guy. Definitely not the kind of drawings I'll show my baby tonight.

So, the thread is open: name your favourite dark and gloomy painters or artists of all time; I mean your classic favourite artists from the beginnings of time to the 19th century.

* I could upload some shots from the book if someone finds it is interesting.
