We finished the new song for our split with Reclusiam last night. We just need to slow it down and I need to add a few extra guitar pieces but it's ready to go. We're looking to add another song (probably a live song from one of our future gigs) because the song is only about 7-8 minutes long (lol).

All CD orders will come with a little something extra while supplies last! I stumbled across it by accident. The reviewer said he'd let me know when it was up. Oh well. I'm just glad it's up! I was hoping to record a rough demo version of my bands newest song this Saturday, but our bassist is currently out on tour with his other band and probably won't be back in time to do it. Oi...I'm hoping we can get it up and running. I really enjoy recording!

On that note, I'm going to spend sometime over the next couple of weeks (hopefully it won't take TOO long) and make a video for one of the album tracks. Any requests?

OK, this week at some point we're supposed to be interviewed by http://www.utahmusicians.net/ a place that plays only bands from Utah. All style and genera's played back to back. Apparently it's heard in 20+ countries and has several thousand listeners. I'll post if/when it's up.

OK, the interview was a lot of fun and took place in my living room. You'll probably be able to hear my dog's tag's rattling as he wandered in and out of the room. Kind of funny. You'll also be able to hear the timer on the stove go off a few times as well since my wife was baking cookies. I'm pretty sure we got the point across that we're dorks and that we take our music seriously. I believe the interview will be posted this Saturday. Regardless I think I'll be able to get it up on youtube and if not there I'll find something I can post it with. I believe it was over an hour long too. The discussions were good and we even got into an argument about who was better: Poison and Warrant or bon jovi and Dave Matthews (you'll have to listen for how that came up, lol, and it did come up a couple of times too.)

Looking forward to hearing it and we can always stream it on Doommantia if you are interested, just let me know.

That sounds like a plan actually as I'm clueless as to how to do that stuff.

Still waiting on the mp3 but our new years concert was a blast. Right a midnight (a few seconds before we started playing) our bassist asked for the first kiss of new years. A drunk cowboy sprinted up to him and planted a rather sloppy kiss on his lips. Too funny/gross for words. Good show over all.

Ya, the dude was randomly line dancing to a mixture of Death, Black, Doom & Traditional Metal. The first band started out good and fairly original but then after their third song degenerated into generic local sounding stuff. Death/Black Metal with three vocalists one of which was the drummer. I have a profound respect for any drummer that can sing and play competently. The poor bastards brand new double bass pedal fell apart after the second or third song so they had to stop and fix it. 20 minutes of time wasted but it happens.

The second band was Trad/80's/Hair Metal throwback. A three piece that was pretty decent over all. The singer played guitar and had a great voice but had trouble playing and singing certain things.

We were slated to be the third act but the headliners ended up going next. One or two members of the band had somewhere else to be during the time they were slated for (probably a party). They are a coreish/pantera worship act.

The bulk of the crowd left after the second band played, but we still had a good sized group for when we went on. It was cool being the headliners. Perhaps we'll do it again one day, lol. We sold some CD's and and had some fun. After we finished our last song someone shouted for more (if we had know Fairies Wear Boots we'd have played that right after the cowboy incident) but I shouted "the only other song we've got is 17 minutes long, do you really want to hear it?" silence fell as we laughed.

OK, I'm not sure if or when I'm going to get the interview we did. Apparently the DJ hasn't aired it. That wouldn't be so bad but we plugged the hell out of our New Years gig. He said he'd try to play it tonight...oi

Three new gigs are coming. One this month and two next month. I'll post the information as I get it. The band want to learn 'God of Emptiness' by Morbid Eggroll. It's simple but boring. We'll see what happens there.

Regarding covers so far we're still all over the map. Someone suggested we play 'The Painless' by Paradise Lost which I'm down for. I suggested Anathema tracks from the bands first two albums but again those were met with mediocre responses. The guys want to cover a trouble song but I'm indifferent towards that. Unless it was off 'Run to the Light'. That album has a lot of great songs IMO. So I guess what I'm saying is WE'RE STILL TAKING SUGGESTIONS!!!

Any and everyone, throw a band and song(s) at us. Not just limited to Doom either. Begin now!

When all was said and done they filmed our second song 'To Suffocate' and afterwards we were interviewed. They said the footage should be up in a week or two. I'll post when it's available.
