| Extremely burned out by reviewing right now, i have a waiting list of 55 albums and still getting more requests each day. Some big changes are going to have to be made for Doommantia.Com and associated sites to keep going ! _________________ http://www.doommantia.com |

| I think if you are board then just quit. When I get that way I take out a few disc that I love. Then I listen to music for a week or 2 to remind me why I love it. I am the kinda guy that finds it hard to listen to a cd all the way through. I am high anxiety and probaly a bit bipolar.lol I have ideas through my head all day long. I go crazy with that stuff. _________________ www.facebook.com/arisewithin

| Im not bored by it at all, in fact i enjoy the music more now than ever before. I am just over-worked, if you knew the amount of hours i spend listening to music and writing reviews you would know what i mean. I have no real life outside of music, this is my life and that is not a cliche, its my reality. _________________ http://www.doommantia.com |

| In the loneliness of winter When I seek penance for my sins I call upon my fate for mercy Oh let the king of diamonds win
When the lords of light are with me I climb the stairs up to Ungol When the angel witch she soothes me I'm her witchfinder general Yeah
Doom is the soul of metal Primordial and pure Doom is the true essence of living Immortal My cure
When my heart is filled with sorrow And I wonder who I am I put on some ancient Trouble Some old Vitus Pentagram
When my soul walks in the darkness Or life's hopelessness again Then I find solace I find comfort And I learn and understand Yeah
At the blessed pagan altar He kneels the reverend bizarre And he calls me and I follow Into the doomed world of my heart
There is beauty in the mourning So much truth and tenderness Let me celebrate the sabbath so black The rites of candlemass
There is wisdom in the slowness In the rhythm is the magic In the air And I know I've found salvation In the music of despair

| I like them personally but its a difficult thing to pull off successfully in doom metal, the more mid to up tempo Stoner Metal bands can do it easier, bands like Karma To Burn, Atomic Bitchwax has songs tailor made for instrumental interpretations but doom can be tricky as its slow and usually not with that many riffs. _________________ http://www.doommantia.com |

Hehe, classic.
I did a zine a few years ago: I know your pain. I did a hellish amount of reviews etc. Maybe consider outsourcing and getting some other reviewers? I wouldn't mind helping you out, if you need it, for example? |

| Hey Brother, if you want to come into the zine as a writer full time or just as a guest writer, that would be great. You can do a review, interview or simply a article on doom metal. Do it from any angle you want. I will make sure you get the credit you deserve. You can send to my email at earthdog@doommantia.com. Zines are easy when it is new but once you get popular, people come out of the woodwork and the pressure can be intense. I get CD's daily, sometimes as many as 20 a week and bands and labels do put the pressure on if you don't move fast enough. That is why I put a donate button on the site, it is not me begging for money, simply a way of getting some kind of reward for all the hours spent. Put it this way, I nearly got a divorce from my wife about 6 months ago because of the zine. With my normal day job plus the zine, I am busy about 18 hours out of everyday, it is crazy. _________________ http://www.doommantia.com |

| On Friday I discovered that our Netflix account had the new Futurama season up and streaming! Its probably the best thing they've ever done. I've got all the seasons and movies and love them all, but this "rebirth" as its been coined is just a lot better. Apparently they had to cut over half of the former writing staff due to the salaries demanded by the voice "talent" and apparently they cut the losers. _________________ http://www.facebook.com/pages/Nevertanezra/163179627054889 http://www.myspace.com/nevertanezra http://www.youtube.com/user/NTNR1

I have thought about signing up for Netflix many times but I only get maybe a hour a week to watch anything. I haven't even switched on the TV for 3 weeks now._________________ http://www.doommantia.com |

I don't blame you when it comes to TV, I watch very little myself and don't desire to increase that amount with all of the garbage that plays these days. Netflix is great for the movies though, I go through a couple a week so I definitely get my money's worth. I'm still a young guy, so there are tons of movies (just like music) that I've missed out on during the years. I feel like I spend most of my life in an eternal season of catching up. |

| Agreed! There are NO commercials and most things are uncensored. Its cheaper than cable and more enjoyable. The best part is the lack of commercials however. All they need to do now is show the latest ATHF, Venture Bros. and 80's TMNT and I'd be in heaven, lol. _________________ http://www.facebook.com/pages/Nevertanezra/163179627054889 http://www.myspace.com/nevertanezra http://www.youtube.com/user/NTNR1

Commercials are the number one reason I can't be bothered with Television but it is also so full of shitty shows anyway. Sometimes I will see my wife watching something, I look at it for a minute or two, get instantly bored and have to go and listen to more music. Where will live, we get cable for free so that is not a issue but from what I can tell there is nothing on it worth watching apart from the odd music doco and most of those I buy on DVD anyway._________________ http://www.doommantia.com |

| I really hate social networking sites. I miss web pages. I've got 4 stupid/generic social networking sites and I have no way of standing out as a result. You have very limited control over what you can do, sell, show, etc... through the aforementioned avenues where as you have complete control over a website. _________________ http://www.facebook.com/pages/Nevertanezra/163179627054889 http://www.myspace.com/nevertanezra http://www.youtube.com/user/NTNR1

I agree, Myspace, Facebook and all those are all useless when it comes to trying to get noticed these days. Myspace used to be alright, that is how my blogs got well-known but the site went downhill real fast and now is a ghost town. Having your own site is so much better, you have full control over it. You can monitor who comments etc etc. You can sell stuff. You can block IP's if someone gives you trouble, something I have had to do many times. I do spend a bit of time on Facebook but I don't know why really. _________________ http://www.doommantia.com |

I only have one for our band and it pisses me off to no end that people have issues finding it and that I had to create an account for myself in order to make a band page. _________________ http://www.facebook.com/pages/Nevertanezra/163179627054889 http://www.myspace.com/nevertanezra http://www.youtube.com/user/NTNR1

Yes, having a band page on Facebook or Myspace is kind of essential in one way but in another way, frustrating. Myspace especially is like a black hole that your band page gets sucked into and unless you know the exact URL, people will never find it as their search function is worthless. And Jayke is right to a point, FB is alright for staying in contact with people but apart from that its a huge time waster. These sites ARE NOT band friendly anyway, they are made for individuals. _________________ http://www.doommantia.com |

It is pretty sad that young kids only know about guitars from Guitar Hero. I don't know any young kids learning guitar these days, 20 years ago I knew a lot and when I was school everybody was learning something, not anymore._________________ http://www.doommantia.com |

| I went to a Steven Wright show once, I almost died from laughter. The best comedy gig I have ever seen. The only other one that comes close was Mitch Hedberg but it was kind of sad. He stood there delivering the lines alright but he was constantly shaking and he looked very sick. A month later he died from a drug overdose ( R.I.P). _________________ http://www.doommantia.com |

| The only comedian that I've ever seen live was Lisa Lampinelli. She was a riot and she singled my dad out of the crowed and made fun of him. Great night! My dad saw my favorite comedian, Sam Kenison, twice back in the day. _________________ http://www.facebook.com/pages/Nevertanezra/163179627054889 http://www.myspace.com/nevertanezra http://www.youtube.com/user/NTNR1

| I like seeing comedians but you have to see them in the right venue. I went and saw Billy Connelly once when he was at his peak in a huge arena and we were right up the back. It sucked so much, we were so far away he looked like he was a inch tall and we couldn't hear a word he said. I think it was $60 a seat so it was a major rip-off. Smaller clubs are the only venue that works for comics in my opinion. _________________ http://www.doommantia.com |
