Best Review Sites

Of course Doommantia is king but The Obelisk is a great site. A bit slow at updating though. I hate Doom Metal.Com, that site sucks.

I'm already devoting a considerable chunk of each and every day keeping up with Doommantia and various blogs in a constant search for great new music, so I don't have much time for any of these other sites. The only ones I really know off that list (and ones I should check more perhaps) are the Soda Shop, the Sleeping Shaman, and the Obelisk. I use metal-archives pretty extensively, but mostly to look up on discographies and to read up on more obscure bands. The reviews on there are hit and miss, and it's strange how some really huge albums that have been out for over a year have no reviews whatsoever while others have dozens. The best site for reviews is still Doommantia for me, simply because it really caters to my musical tastes, and I don't have to filter through loads of stuff that doesn't really interest me Smile

I use metal-archives for tracking down links, it is great for that.

Doommantia is obviously the best but I like the Sleeping Shaman. I dig their reviews, they always have a sense of humor to most of them.
