| In For The Kill is my fave too, the first Budgie I ever heard and still the one I blast the most. Never Turn Your Back is a close second though. _________________ http://www.doommantia.com |

| That main riff to In For The Kill is one of the heaviest riffs ever written, that is enough reason to give my vote for that album but any of the first five could also easily get it. Great albums. |

| For a while there, Budgie were easily the second heaviest band in the world behind Sabbath. I always think it sucked how they lightened their sound after In For the Kill though. I will admit this too, I met Burke Shelley once and what a ego maniacal, moron he was. I asked him about Sabbath and whether Budgie associated with them in the 70's and he bite my head off, yelling, "I don't even like Fookin Sabbath" in his welsh accent. I have met some cold musicians in my time but he was one of the worst. _________________ http://www.doommantia.com |

| I can't vote on this as I've only ever heard a handful of their songs. Plus the vocals are hilarious. _________________ http://www.facebook.com/pages/Nevertanezra/163179627054889 http://www.myspace.com/nevertanezra http://www.youtube.com/user/NTNR1

I hate to admit it but that is how most people got into them. I first discovered them by accident in the mid 70's. I kept seeing their albums and I loved their album cover art so I eventually bought an album and it blew me away. I then discover people at my high school were also fans of them so they were like this well kept secret that nobody was talking about._________________ http://www.doommantia.com |

| With the exception of Squawk, all of the first seven albums are classics. The S/T isn't my favourite - that honour goes to In For the Kill - but it comes close, a very underrated album in the Budgie catalogue. I saw Budgie live a couple of years back, and man have they still got it! Hope they get it back together post Burke's illness. |

| Love the Budgie, used to go and see them play all the time when I was still living in the UK in the early 80's. We used to have so much fun at those shows. |

| I've overlooked these guys for too long. The funny thing is that I can remember their album art from when I was a little kid wandering around my uncle's record shop.
I was able to track down the self-titled and I'm loving it. I've heard some people say the first three albums are the classics and others claim the first five are solid. Is their whole discography any good or is their a definitive sharp decline where it's not worth bothering? |

Personally I think they lost a lot when they replaced their original guitarist. I don't really like any albums they did once that happened. |

They did become a lot more standard hard rock once they changed guitarists. I like those 80's albums but they were nowhere near the quality of the early ones. They lost their quirky side._________________ http://www.doommantia.com |

| Thanks for the feedback. I had some spare time today so checked out the other releases on youtube. I really couldn't get into anything after Bandolier. The other albums weren't really bad, they just seemed to lack the crunch of the earlier albums. |

I can't even get into Bandolier anymore, it seems too light compared to the early albums and after that they become too generic heavy metal style so I don't listen to those albums much either._________________ http://www.doommantia.com |
