| Ok we are on a roll with the polls so heres another, multiple choice this time. I tried to make a mix of bands, well known but didn't make it as big as they should have and some obscure gems. I came up with 30 bands but could have done a lot more if I wasn't so tired.. _________________ I've got a 12 ton demon on my back Whispering shit in my brain

| Damn, I could have voted for every band on the list. They are all underrated really but I narrowed it down to about 20 bands. _________________ http://www.doommantia.com |

Yeah right, good idea for a poll but all the choices are underrated bands so it makes the poll a bit pointless. In the end I voted for about 10 bands I feel truly deserved some kudos but didn't. I don't have time to go through them all but Uriah Heep, Dust, Night Sun, Captain Beyond, Armageddon are the obvious ones. Those bands should have been up there with Sabbath, Zeppelin etc but didn't make it for whatever reason. |

| Uriah Heep by far I think is sad, that almost nobody knows them, even almost nobody knows their greatest hit Lady in Black... _________________ The music lives outside reality's walls And we are it'd door to our dimension It comes through our emotions It runs through our art And come out from our veins From our pains ( Novembre)

| Hawkwind, Mountain, COMUS ! Their first record is one of the strangest pieces of music ever recorded, I just love it and the way they influenced people like Current 93. _________________ http://www.reverbnation.com/pinballlizard http://www.facebook.com/pages/Pinball-Lizard-The-Acid-Kings/345988102081514

Uriah Heep had strange success, they were big in places like Australia, Germany and a couple of others but didn't get very far everywhere else. I know in the US, the biggest they ever got was 73 to 75 when they were playing 5-6,000 seat arenas but that high didn't last long. Nowadays they can't get a tour here at all, pretty sad. |

Correct sir, growing up in the 70's in Australia, Heep were big news. There was even Heep cover bands back then in Australia but by the time I got to see them for the first time in 82, they were forced to do a club tour. Even back then I thought it was amazing a band like Heep was playing bars, made no sense to me at all. I still don't get it._________________ http://www.doommantia.com |

| I haven't heard a lot of those especially the non-British ones. Uriah Heep and Budgie and the 2 most underrated bands on the list that I know of. |

One of the sad things about Uriah Heep and the USA is how the media treated them in the 70's. It was terrible. Heep got bad press everywhere in the world but the difference is people take too much notice of the media in this country and people fell for it. At least in Europe, people tend to make up their own minds. Here some people, well most people believe everything they read and Heep career in the US was seriously crippled by the American media. |

Yes you are right. Especially magazines like Rolling Stone who hated everyone in the heavy rock/progressive world except for perhaps Zeppelin. Every one else got nothing but insults. _________________ I've got a 12 ton demon on my back Whispering shit in my brain

| Yep, Heep got treated very badly but so did most heavy bands back then. Certain magazines have never liked heavy or progressive music, Rolling Stone being the main offender. In the 70's they were too busy going ga ga over James Taylor and wishy-washy songwriter types. _________________ http://www.doommantia.com |

| Anyway, I voted for Budgie... They were only popular in the U.K. and not for long! |
