I am a big Current 93 fan and I also love Sol Invictus, DiJ and Rome and some others. It is probably my favourite non metal genre

Cool, didn't know there were any Current 93 fans at Doommantia Smile
Well, maybe calling myself a fan is a bit of a long stretch, since I haven't even scraped their humongous discogrpahy, but I do love Aleph At Hallucinatory Mountain a lot.

On topic: I'm not overly knowledgeable on this genre, but I can recommend Wardruna. Great ritualistic neofolk, a side project of Ghaal from Gorgoroth (which was quite a shocker for me, as I didn't see him doing this kind of music any time soon). I believe they've also played Roadburn a while ago.

Afraid I don't know much other stuff in this direction, since most of the folk-related stuff I listen to either involves metal (mostly the blackened "pagan" variant though, I'm not too keen on most of the other folk metal I listened to when I was younger anymore, besides when I'm in a drunk party mood), or psychedelic folk/rock stuff.

Yeah That great album. I would recommend this album to everyone here, since it is not neofolk, it is actually experimental music with stoner/doom metal influences.Sadly almost no one stoner/doom metal fan knows this album silent

I am not really a fan of the neo-folk genre. However, I like the danish band Of The Wand And Moon which I could be categorised as neo-folk or at least the music has elements of neo-folk. I have their :emptiness:emptiness:emptiness: album and it is great for dark winter nights.

Of the wand and the moon is a great band who released some masterpiece .

Kim plays a very pure neo-folk , but the last album is more arranged .

Yes I've been a very very good boy! Very Happy

Terrific. It would have been "easier" to pick Planet Caravan or Solitude and of course you didn't do it. Really looking forward to check it out!

Terrific cover!

One of the best BS cover I've ever heard so far.... actually in my top 2 right behind Type O Negative Black Sabbath cover.
This kind of music fits perfectly to the lyrics too (would have been ridiculous with Iron Man for example Laughing )
I really enjoy when a band does not perform a blank copy of the original song, and this is actually a great job!
